Madeleine Castellanos, M.D., also known as “The Sex MD,” is a psychiatrist who began practicing sex therapy 15 years ago, specializing in it exclusively for over 10 years. She is an advocate for good sexual health, both physically and psychologically, and is committed to helping others learn about their own sexuality and how to achieve physical and emotional balance in their sex lives. As an MD, she uses an integrative, functional approach that corrects the underlying cause of illness and dysfunction rather than just prescribing medications to attack individual symptoms. Besides her current practice in New York City, she is an active blogger and has appeared on both local and national television (in both English and Spanish), and has also lectured all around the country. Dr. Castellanos is a certified AASECT sex therapist, and an active member of SSTAR, ISSWSH, ISSM, NAMS, and the IFM. She is the author of A Woman’s Guide to Male Sexual Issues, and A Man’s Guide to Male Sexual Issues, and her latest book, Wanting to Want: What Kills Your Sex Life and How to Keep It Alive. You can find more information on her website at TheSexMD.com.
Erica Marchand, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist specializing in sexual and relationship concerns. She writes and speaks on creating satisfying intimate relationships, and most recently co-authored a manuscript on sexuality and intimacy after breast cancer. She has a private practice in Los Angeles, CA.
